Second times a charm...

With the coming of the second edition proves even more collaboration and teamwork from the Islander team.

 

There have been a few hiccups with the preparation of this edition but overall it has been yet another pleasant experience and I hope that you all enjoy the articles provided by the students.

 

Being the editor has been a pleasant but taxing experience this edition but I look forward to overseeing the next issue as well.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is a Sunni, extremist, jihadist rebel group based in Iraq and Syria where it controls territory.

ISIS also operates in eastern Libya, the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, and other areas of the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
